Queen’s Birthday Honours for the UCL community

Congratulations to the members of the UCL community who have been recognised in the 2015 Queen's Birthday Honours list. Professor Judith Cross (UCL Institute of Child Health) has received an OBE for services to children with epilepsy. Professor Cross's research centres on early onset complex epilepsy, with a particular focus on outcomes and the role of intervention. She has also edited four books, including a definitive childhood epilepsy text and a ketogenic diet cookery book. Professor Cross said: "Huge progress has been made in the diagnosis and management of epilepsy over the past 20 years. This has required national and international collaboration, as well as constant translation to clinical practice. This award is a great honour, and which I dedicate to all the children with epilepsy with whom I have had over the years, who continue to teach us so much more and for whom we strive for better outcome".
