UCL is marking UK Disability History Month 2021 with a variety of free events and activities.

UCL is presenting a range of events as part of UK Disability History Month 2022. Find out more below.

November:

30 November - [VIRTUAL/FOR ALL]: Join a ’Fireside chat’ with legendary disability rights activist Judy Heumann, who will be speaking about her recent book, Being Heumann: An Unrepentant Memoir of a Disability Rights Activist.

25 November - [VIRTUAL/FOR STAFF]: Find out more about disability equality in the UK at this staff Community of Practice workshop.

2 December - [VIRTUAL/FOR ALL]: UCL’s Centre for Artificial Intelligence and the Global Disability Innovation Hub will be hosting  #WeThe15 in Artificial Intelligence , an online event to discuss the power of AI in transforming the lives of people with disabilities.

2 December - [VIRTUAL/FOR ALL]: In this Lunch Hour Lecture , Professor Katrina Scior and Lisa Richardson will present research on a range of interventions to combat the stigma of intellectual disability.
