A crowd of people in the Quad at UCL's 2022 Open Days. The sky is blue and the Portico is displaying banners that say 'welcome'. Our first in-person Open Days since before the pandemic saw 16,000 visitors visiting UCL in the summer sunshine. Friday 15 and Saturday 16 July 2022 saw UCL's first in-person Open Days for prospective undergraduate students since 2019. We were joined by around 8,000 visitors on each day, as prospective students, their families and guests came to UCL to meet staff and students, find out more about UCL and its degree programmes and explore the campus. Over 300 events took place across the two days, including subject talks, taster sessions, demonstrations and tours of the campus and student accommodation. Highlights included the Chemical Engineering Fuel Cell Car which produced popcorn for our visitors, the GeoBus Earthquake simulator and rapper Mark Chan Poon who entertained visitors with shout outs and music on the quad.
