After winning the Food to Go award in 2024, Gather & Gather at UCL has received further recognition, by winning the Campus Hospitality Award at the U Dine awards this year.
The U Dine Awards celebrate and recognise the contributions and achievements of trailblazers and innovators within the university hospitality community.
Gather & Gather, recognised under the umbrella of Food at UCL , won the Campus Hospitality Award at the 2025 awards ceremony, which was hosted by celebrity chef Simon Rimmer.
The award recognised Gather & Gather’s commitment to providing a bespoke and collaborative approach to catering for events and meetings in the UCL community, with a focus on providing a sustainable, innovative and inclusive food offering.
Gather & Gather has worked with UCL to cater for a wide range of events across the Bloomsbury and UCL East campuses. This has included graduations, welcome parties, staff celebrations, and pre-exam care packages to provide a boost for students before the start of the stressful exam period.
They also provide a number of vibrant outlets across UCL’s Bloomsbury and UCL East campuses. With 13 coffee shops, 6 restaurants, and 1 food van located across the campuses, Food at UCL offers a variety of convenient and delicious food choices for students, staff, and visitors.
In addition to the Campus Hospitality Award, Gather & Gather was also shortlisted for the Sustainability Award, recognising their commitment to ethical sourcing and reducing their environmental impact. This is line with UCL’s drive towards sustainable practices. Gather & Gather has worked to increase student understanding of the carbon impact of the food on offer at UCL, while also producing low-carbon and low-waste food.
Daniel Hill-Roger, Head of Commercial Services at UCL, spoke of the win saying, "We are delighted that Gather & Gather has been recognised for their incredible work to offer innovative and sustainable catering to the UCL community, and for their collaborative and bespoke approach.
