UCL Events blog launches

The UCL Events blog launched on 15 March, with a review and video footage of the sell-out 2011 Rickman Godlee lecture by Noam Chomsky on 'Contours of Global Order'. The blog aims to cover a wide variety of the events held at UCL, and provide an interactive, informal channel for feedback on and discussion about lectures, exhibitions and many more activities. It was devised in response to research with students, staff and other visitors to the UCL news page. The blog also currently features blog posts covering: the Earth bites back: Lunch Hour Lecture by Professor Bill McGuire (UCL Earth Sciences) on the possible relationship between climate change and catastrophic geological events lectures by Sir Gus O'Donnell, Britain's most senior civil servant, and by Lord Phillips, President of the Supreme Court, hosted by the UCL Constitution Unit
