UCL climbs Complete University Guide table
UCL has risen another three places - from 10th to 7th - in The Complete University Guide's main league table for 2018, published today. The Complete University Guide offers comprehensive rankings of over 140 UK universities in one main table and in 70 subject tables. As well as being 7th in the Guide's main table of UK universities, in the subject-specific tables UCL is in the top ten in 31 of the 37 subjects that it teaches. The main table is based on ten measures: Student Satisfaction, Research Quality, Research Intensity, Entry Standards, Student: Staff Ratio; Spending on Academic Services; Spending on Student Facilities; Good Honours Degrees; Graduate Prospects and Completion. The 70 subject tables are based on five measures: Student Satisfaction, Research Quality, Research Intensity, Entry Standards and Graduate Prospects and include 143 universities, university colleges and specialist higher education institutions. Three London universities feature in the Guide's top ten this year. This is the most of any region, with the capital accounting for 22 of the 129 universities ranked in the main table.
