If you’re a supervisor or graduate Tutor, please do remind your PGR students to take this great opportunity to tell us about their experience at UCL to win some exciting prizes and help us improve. The survey closes on 16 April.

Why participate?

The Postgraduate Research Experience Survey (PRES) is an opportunity for postgraduate researchers (PGRs) to voice their opinion and be partners in developing the postgraduate research experience. It is also an opportunity to compare student experiences both internally (faculty/department) and externally (other institutions), to inform change and improvement.

We will plant a tree for every 10 students who complete the survey and for every 200 students who complete the survey, there will be a lucky dip and the winner will receive a £20 Love2Shop voucher!

How do PGRs take part?

All PGRs will receive an email in their UCL inbox from UCL Doctoral School no-reply@app.onlinesurveys.jisc.ac.uk . If a student has not received an email, please advise them to check their junk/spam folder.

The email will include a personalised link to take the student directly to the survey and allows us to know when they’ve completed the survey and to stop sending them reminders. Please advise students to not share the link with anyone else.

The survey takes around 15 minutes to complete and closes on 16 April 2025.

Results

Results will be available by the end of the summer and will be published on the Doctoral School website.

Survey answers are confidential, but anonymised results and comments will be sent back to departments so please advise students to not include information which may identify them if they do not wish to be identified.
