Last June we welcomed around 10,000 guests across our Bloomsbury and UCL East campuses on both days, and delivered more than 400 sessions, talks and tours as well as a Faculty Fair. We’re expecting similar visitor numbers this year.
Helping at Open Days is a real team effort and is a fun, rewarding and enjoyable experience. You’ll get the chance to chat to our prospective students and their families, and work alongside staff and current students from across UCL.
What to expect?
The role on the day is very straightforward and doesn’t require any specialist knowledge - colleagues volunteering to help will join our team at designated registration points or at building entrances and they will welcome guests, check their tickets and hand out wristbands. We will provide information in advance, plus an additional briefing on the day of the event.Lunch will be provided on the day for those working a full day shift. You can let us know about any dietary requirements on the sign-up form.
How to sign up
Before you sign up, please ensure that your line manager is happy for you to help out, and confirm the arrangements in your area for TOIL if you’re volunteering to help out on the Saturday. Please do let us know all the times you’re free across the two days, and we’ll distribute shifts fairly. The deadline to complete the form is 21 April - sign up here !
