The Data & Insight team have launched a new resource to support staff involved in student admissions and enrolment throughout the year. The What to Use When dashboard (requires Tableau access - available to request via MyServices ) helps you:
- Track applications
- Understand how targets are generated
- See how many offers your department has made
- View diversity data for your programmes
What is Tableau?
If you haven’t used Tableau before, it’s an interactive data visualisation tool that presents live data pulled from UCL systems such as SITS and MyHR. Dashboards are refreshed daily where possible. You can request access via MyServices.Admissions: What to use when
Our new one-page dashboard (requires Tableau access) lays out the full admissions cycle by term, with key dates and milestones throughout the year. It also links to other admissions dashboards, guiding you to the most useful resources for each stage. For example, during Start of Session, you might want to see how enrolment compares to previous years, or what other administrators are using to manage their workflows.
You’ll also find links to additional resources on admissions, dashboard FAQs, and a handy tips & tricks video at the bottom of the page.
If you have questions or would like more support, feel free to get in touch with the Data & Insight team.
