LGBTQ+ Equality at UCL: New online training module available now

This LGBT+ History Month, we’re delighted to launch a new training module, available to all staff to help proactively embed LGBTQ+ equality in our ways of working.

The 30-minute online module is suitable for all members of staff and uses interactive and practical scenarios to highlight: 

  • Key terminology for inclusive conversations 
  • An overview of LGBTQ+ history 
  • Bystander interventions and allyship 

This module has been devised and put together with the invaluable and essential input of various members of UCL’s LGBTQ+ community, who generously offered their time, experience and expertise through various consultation rounds. 

How to access the course:

  • On the top righthand side of the web page, you will see a magnifying glass - please click on it to produce a search bar. In the search bar you will see three options: Courses, Learning Paths and Catalogue. Click Catalogue and then type in ’LGBTQ+ Equality at UCL’.

  • Some colleagues have found that the course is only accessible via Chrome, so please try this browser if you experience any difficulties. 
  • Please ensure that you’re searching for the course in the course catalogue rather than your enrolments. 

    UCL’s Staff Equalities networks  include networks for LGBTQ+ staff members, including the LGBTQ+ Equality Steering Group.  

    LGBTQ+ Parents and Families Group : All LGBTQ+ parents, prospective parents, children of LGBTQ+ parents and parents & siblings of LGBTQ+ children are welcome.
