Ian McEwan at UCL: Emotion in Literature and the Brain - FULLY BOOKED
Man Booker prize-winning novelist Ian McEwan will discuss emotion and its place in literature and the brain with Professor Ray Dolan (Wellcome Trust Centre for Neuroimaging at UCL) on 30 April at UCL. Ian McEwan's writing explores human nature and emotion at play in couples and families, and in situations of war. Professor Dolan and his research group investigate how emotion can interact with cognition in many contexts, such as when we make decisions. The event will take place 6?7pm in the Darwin Lecture Theatre, with registration opening at 5.30pm. The event is free but pre-booking is essential. Please zeki.pa [a] ucl.ac (p) uk or call +44 (0)20 7679 7316. The discussion opens a series of events organised by Professor Semir Zeki of UCL Neuroesthetics.
