Join the conversation on UCL-s Academic Ambition and Health Strategy at this interactive event.

Monday 23 June, 2.30-4.30pm, Bloomsbury Campus: Town Hall with networking session, followed by refreshments.

As we develop UCL’s first Academic Strategy, we invite staff to contribute to conversations on our Academic Ambition and new Health Strategy at this Town Hall event.

All staff are welcome to attend, but this event will be of particular interest to those working in research and education (academic or support staff at any stage of their career), innovation and enterprise, postgraduate researchers and technical staff.

Our Academic Strategy will set UCL-s trajectory for the next 10+ years, with the aim of maintaining and building on our academic excellence and our global position. It will be informed by conversations on our Academic Ambition, led by Professor Paola Lettieri, Vice-Provost (Strategy), and Professor Geraint Rees, Vice-Provost (RIGE), and our Health Strategy, led by Professor Ibrahim Abubakar, Pro-Provost (Health). Professor of Healthcare Engineering, Rebecca Shipley will Chair the discussion.

Through these conversations, we are identifying emerging areas of opportunity which will guide and shape research, teaching, impact and innovation. These are therefore important discussions for all staff across the university to take part in.  All staff are invited to find out more about the Academic Strategy, discuss the opportunities and share insights on the emerging areas.

Please note that the event will be held in-person only, to facilitate collaborative discussion sessions, networking and Q&A. There will be refreshments following the main sessions. The panel includes:
  • Dr Michael Spence, President & Provost

  • Professor Paola Lettieri, Vice-Provost (Strategy)

  • Professor Geraint Rees, Vice-Provost (RIGE)

  • Professor Ibrahim Abubakar, Pro-Provost (Health)

  • Chair: Professor Rebecca Shipley
