There will be further nationwide rail strike action on Saturday 23 July (Greater Anglia only) Wednesday 27 July, Saturday 30 July, Thursday 18 August and Saturday 20 August.

The National Union of Rail, Maritime and Transport Workers (RMT) has announced further train strikes on Saturday 23 July, Wednesday 27 July, Thursday 18 August and Saturday 20 August, with ASLEF announcing a train strike on Saturday 30 July. The strike action is over pay and working conditions.

The unions have confirmed that 40,000 staff are involved, affecting 14 train operators and Network Rail. You can visit National Rail for details of services affected.

London Underground will not be affected.

UCL will keep activities running for students, with student-facing and campus based staff asked to come in to work where possible.
The Transport for London ,  Citymapper app may be useful for planning alternative types of transport such as underground, buses, bicycle and scooter hire, walking, etc. If you are unable to get to work using alternative transport, you should advise your line manager as early as possible.

If the rail strike completely prevents you from coming into campus, you may work from home if your job lends itself to remote working.

For staff unable to work from home, managers are encouraged to agree flexible solutions such as using TOIL or making up lost time where possible. If alternative arrangements cannot be found, staff should arrange to take annual leave or unpaid leave, in line with our Special Leave policy on travel and weather disruption.

For further updates on the strike action, please keep an eye on the news, the , and your local train provider website.
