Since 5.30 p.m. yesterday (Wednesday 1 May) students have been unable to make a payment to UCL. This is due to a technical issue with our Student Information System (Portico). We have temporarily stopped incoming payments from students whilst we resolve this.

If you made a payment yesterday before 5.30 p.m., we are in the process of completing the payment however this will not be shown in your statement. We will notify anyone who made a payment yesterday directly to confirm receipt. We are working to resolve this issue as quickly as possible and anticipate that you will be able to make payments as usual later today. We will provide further updates later today.

We can confirm no student will be penalised for late or delayed payments due to this issue, and that we will be extending the fee payment deadline to allow those affected to pay their fees for this term.

Please do not attempt to pay your fees in any other way (e.g. bank transfer) as UCL only accepts fee payments via Flywire.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may be causing and thank you for your patience whilst we look into fixing the issue. Please be assured we are doing everything we can to ensure that we complete existing payments and open up the payment system again.

If you have any queries, please contact the Student Fees office: fees@ucl.ac.uk
