European Union flags flying in the sunshine outside the European Commission building in Brussels, Belgium The British Academy has just launched a pump priming call to develop collaborative activity between UK and EU/Associated Countries' entities in Pillar 2 of Horizon Europe. Find out more and apply by 17 January. UCL researchers across all disciplines are encouraged to apply to the new  Horizon Europe Pump Priming Collaboration between UK and EU Partners  fund, offered by The British Academy with the support of the Royal Society, the Academy of Medical Sciences, and the Royal Academy of Engineering. Up to £10,000 is available to support UK and EU/Associated Countries-based researchers with developing collaborations to support the uptake of the opportunities provided by the UK's association to Horizon Europe. Applications submitted by 17 January will be considered initially, only followed by a secondary deadline of 21 February if funding remains available. As such, we strongly encourage UCL colleagues interested in Horizon Europe collaboration, particularly those who have never been involved in a proposal previously, to consider applying to this fund before 17 January.
