Google Street View goes behind scenes of Oxford colleges
The Oxford University colleges have teamed up with Google to offer a behind-the-scenes virtual tour, which can be found here. People can navigate around some of Oxford's finest quads, libraries, dining halls and chapels. Hertford, All Souls, St John's, Jesus, Oriel, Corpus Christi, Merton, Pembroke, St Edmund Hall, Somerville, and Lady Margaret Hall can now all be seen on Google Street View. Many more colleges, Permanent Private Halls and departments have had the exteriors of their historic buildings photographed. Stuart Fowkes, Head of Digital at Oxford University, said: 'We want to attract applications from the very best students from around the world, whatever their background. 'In addition to running Open Days, we work hard to give people an insight into what life is like for an Oxford student by producing content that works for social media. 'By working with Google Street View, we can now offer people a virtual tour of many Oxford colleges.
