Festival partnership

Two of Wales' leading organisations Cardiff University and Green Man are joining forces. Cardiff University and Green Man will build upon their existing partnership by exploring further opportunities for student internships, science engagement and research activities. A memorandum of understanding was signed on Thursday 25 May at a Welsh business reception at Green Man's Courtyard Welsh Beer & Cider Festival by Professor Colin Riordan, Cardiff University Vice-Chancellor, and Fiona Stewart, Green Man Managing Director. Einstein's Garden. Cardiff University has had a presence at Green Man for many years, ranging from 'guerrilla' archaeology to educational neuroscience experiments, and is part of the festival's interactive science offer - Einstein's Garden. Both organisations are key to promoting Wales nationally and internationally, attracting partnerships, visitors, job creation, business opportunities and wealth to the economy. Research from UK Music in 2015 described Green Man as a shining example of a wealth creating festival, and highlighted it as a major driver of music tourism across the UK, and a key contributor to the £95m direct and indirect spend generated by music tourism in Wales.
