Alison Duthie joins King’s Cultural Institute

Alison Duthie joins King's as Director of Programming, King's Cultural Institute. Working to Deborah Bull, Executive Director, she will be responsible for developing and implementing a cultural programming strategy for the Inigo Rooms and Anatomy Theatre Museum - as well as a range of spaces within and outside the College - that engages a wide public and demonstrates the impact of King's research within the cultural sector. Alison brings to King's a long track record of success in developing and implementing programming strategies for a wide range of venues and cultural organisations. From 1996 to 2005 she was CEO/Director of artsdepot , a new North London mid-scale theatre and arts centre, where she led on the centre's concept, building and programme, overseeing a major capital mixed use development. In 2006 she joined the Royal Opera House as Head of ROH2, where she has successfully established an award winning programme of collaborative and innovative initiatives to support creative artists, develop emerging art forms and engage new audiences. Alison said: 'I'm really thrilled to be joining the excellent King's Cultural Institute team at such an exciting time. There are so many opportunities going forward for King's to further develop its already strong links with the cultural sector and the Inigo Rooms, along with other existing spaces at King's, provide a wonderful public platform for this creative dialogue to be realised and made manifest.
