We invite applications for two Gillmore Centre for Financial Technology Research Fellow (Post Doc) positions at Warwick Business School. This is an opportunity to join one of the largest and most active research centres on financial technology in the UK. The primary mission of the Gilmore Centre is to conduct world-class, cutting-edge research at the intersection of finance and technology, and to create impact from research. The Gillmore Centre for Financial Technology organizes several academic and industry conferences, workshops, and seminars throughout the year. Successful applicants will be able to join these activities and engage with leading researchers and practitioners at the Centre and internationally. About You We invite applicants with strong technical skills, expertise in AI, and interest in academic research. Applicants should hold (or be about to complete) a PhD or strong master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, FinTech, Statistics, or a related discipline. Strong quantitative and programming skills, fluency in English, and excellent communication and presentation skills are essential. Candidates with expertise in generative AI, AI agents, reinforcement learning, or VR technology are particularly welcome to apply. PhD Status If you are near submission of your PhD, or have not yet had it conferred, any offers of employment will be made at Research Assistant level, at the highest spinal point of pay grade 5 (£34,610 per annum). Upon receipt of evidence confirming the successful award of your PhD, you will be promoted to Research Fellow, at the lowest spinal point of grade 6 (£35,608 per annum). About the Department About the Gilmore Centre The primary mission of the Gilmore Centre is to conduct world-class, cutting-edge research at the intersection of finance and technology. The Centre engages in research exploring the transformative impact of emerging technologies like AI, ML, blockchain, mobile payments, cryptocurrencies and crowdfunding platforms on financial activities.
