The Accommodation Office and Campus Experience and Infrastructure team are inviting all staff to attend a Lunch and Learn on the UCL Accommodation application process.
We are pleased to invite staff to upcoming sessions designed to help you familiarise yourself with UCL Accommodation, a topic we know is important to all students throughout their studies. These sessions are a great opportunity to refresh your knowledge, ask questions, and feel confident in supporting students.
To ensure we reach as many colleagues as possible, we are hosting several sessions. We particularly recommend attending if you’ll be engaging with students during the offer-holder period, as the session will provide a useful refresher on Accommodation eligibility criteria and the changes introduced this year.
Each session will cover:
- The exciting launch of urbanest Canary Wharf - providing 1,672 student beds for new and returning students.
- Undergraduate guarantee of an accommodation offer - the guarantee returns for 2026-27.
- Who’s eligible? Clear criteria for both undergraduate, postgraduate, and affiliate students applying to UCL halls.
- Step-by-step guide : How the application process works.
- Alternative Accommodation : Options for those that are not eligible or choose not to live in UCL Accommodation.
- FAQs answered: Covering the most common questions students ask.
- Where to go for help: Who to contact for more complex queries.
- Live Q&A: Your chance to ask questions directly and get instant answers.
Please note that staff will only need to attend one session and slides will be provided after the event to attendees.
Upcoming virtual events
In person events
We are currently exploring hosting an in-person event on Tuesday, 9 December 12:30pm for a 1pm start, followed by an optional tour of Ramsay Hall and Astor College , two large undergraduate accommodation sites at 2pm.
