Scottish first

Scottish universities have been taking part in the British Universities Championships in football since 1992/93 season.

Edinburgh has previously reached two finals - winning in 1993/94 when they beat Cardiff 2-1, and losing in 1995/96 to Roehampton Institute.

No other Scottish University has reached the final.

This season Edinburgh have beaten York St John, Sheffield Hallam, Leeds, Birmingham and Bournemouth on the way to the final.

Trophy cabinet

The Edinburgh first team has already won the Scottish Universities title and the Queen's Park Shield, as a result of winning the SUS Scottish Conference Merit League 1.

The University has a very promising squad of young players. The team has applied itself well and is beginning to fulfil its promise. The players will be well prepared for the final.
