The University of Oxford is a stimulating work environment, which enjoys an international reputation as a world-class centre of excellence. Our research plays a key role in tackling many global challenges, from reducing our carbon emissions to developing vaccines during a pandemic.

Department

This role is located within the statistical services team with responsibilities split between student surveys and statistical analysis projects. On the surveys side, you will be the lead for the University’s centrally managed surveys and will manage the contributions from other teams that play an important role in surveys. On the statistical analysis side, you will provide statistical support to other departments and divisions, designing and delivering statistical research in the area of student data analysis aligned with the University’s strategic priorities.

You will work with a degree of independence, liaising directly with senior colleagues to establish research questions, agree appropriate methodologies and communicate findings clearly, accessibly and persuasively. You will also work closely with colleagues in SDMA to ensure that findings from statistical research are informing the wider provision of data analysis and reporting.
