Recruitment View All Vacancies Chemical Biology, Diagnostics & TherapeuticsLocation: Highfield CampusSalary: £34,980 to £42,978 Full Time Fixed Term (until 30/09/2024) Closing Date: Monday 16 October 2023 Reference: 2437523EB We are seeking a Research Fellow with experience in organic synthesis, medicinal chemistry, or bioorganic chemistry to work on an industry-funded project. The project aims to prepare potent antibacterial lead compounds that are delivered specifically into the bacterial cytoplasm. The project requires synthesis and scale-up of target molecules within the project period for preclinical studies afterwards. A proven ability of organic synthesis is a key to this project, and willingness, aptitude and experiences in performing synthesis in a product-oriented project will be beneficial. Excellent communication skills are required as the project shall involve international collaboration. Candidates must hold a PhD* in organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, chemical biology or a related discipline, and have a strong background in multistep synthesis.
