Senior Researcher in Clinical Ethics, Law and Society Wellcome Centre for Human Genetics, Old Road Campus, Roosevelt Drive, OX3 7BN We are seeking a motivated Senior Researcher to work on the ’Ethical Preparedness in Genomic Medicine’ (EPPiGen) project at the Wellcome Centre for Human Genetics. Under the leadership of Professor Lucassen, EPPiGen is concerned with the ethical and social challenges that genomic medicine presents for those working and living with genetic and genomic results.

You will plan and deliver a portfolio of conceptual and empirical research, as well as public engagement activities, and you will undertake leadership and project co-ordination in collaboration with two experienced senior researchers. You will also be responsible for identifying sources of research funding and planning and developing innovative research proposals and projects as a result of this post.

It is essential that you hold a PhD/DPhil or equivalent professional qualifications in bioethics, sociology, anthropology or related subject, together with relevant experience. You will have significant qualitative research experience within a healthcare setting and proven ability to develop innovative research proposals and attract research funding.

Applications for this vacancy are to be made online and you will be required to upload a supporting statement and CV as part of your online application. Your supporting statement must explain how you meet each of the selection criteria for the post using examples of your skills and experience.
