MonoGutHealth is a Horizon 2020 project supported by the Marie Sklodowska-Curie Programme and coordinated by Agroscope. MonoGutHealth offers 11 PhD students at six different European institutions an interdisciplinary, intersectoral educational experience in a highly topical area of livestock research.

For the successful implementation of this ambitious project, MonoGutHealth’s Project Coordinator is dependent on the assistance of a Project Manager. Together, they will ensure the coordination of the research activity between the various research institutions and the industry.

Agroscope is the Swiss federal centre of excellence for research in the agriculture and food sector. Its researchers carry out their work at a number of sites in Switzerland. Headquartered in Bern-Liebefeld (as of 2025: Posieux FR), Agroscope is attached to the Swiss Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research EAER.

Description

  • Supporting the Project Coordinator in the implementation, management, and controlling of the project
  • Managing the daily operational tasks: organizing project meetings (agenda items, minutes, event venues), training weeks and meetings of the persons responsible for the work packages, facilitating communication between project partners
  • Coordination among partners and monitoring to ensure timely delivery of the project’s deliverables and timelines
  • Ensure that the project is documented, updated and properly archived
  • Coordinating with the European Science Communication Institute (ESCI) for preparation of the MonoGutHealth project communication and dissemination of results (newsletter, article for the general public, MonoGutHealth website, and outreach events)

Requirements

  • A Master’s degree in Agricultural Sciences, Life Sciences, or a comparable research discipline; alternatively, general knowledge or experience in research
  • Team-minded, communicative and achievement-oriented personality
  • Further training in project management is an advantage
  • Willingness to travel within Europe essential (once or twice a year)
  • Knowledge of two official Swiss languages. Excellent written and oral skills in English.
