Agroscope is looking for a: PostDoc Biodiversity for ecosystem services (BioSerSys) good food, healthy environment Agroscope has launched the Research Program "Development of environmental indicators on farms for management and policy support" aiming at developing a system of indicators capable to assess achievements of agro-policy objectives with respect to natural resources, environment and animal welfare at farm level. These indicators are expected to rely on new technologies for data collecting and processing so that they are relevant for policy making and easy to collect for farmers. The Research Program consists of 8 projects that are closely interacting, complementing each other. The present post-doc will focus on indicators of ecosystem services and biodiversity, and integrate these indicators into an overall approach to measuring sustainability. Agroscope is the Swiss federal centre of excellence for research in the agriculture and food sector. Its researchers carry out their work at a number of sites in Switzerland. Headquartered in Bern-Liebefeld (as of 2025: Posieux FR), Agroscope is attached to the Swiss Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education and Research EAER. The Agroscope Department for Agroecology and Environment at Zurich-Reckenholz conducts research for an environmental friendly and competitive agriculture. This Postdoc position will be affiliated to the research group Agricultural Landscapes and Biodiversity. | |
