Research Associate/Fellow (Part-time, fixed-term)

£27924 to £42149 per annum, pro rata depending on skills and experience (minimum 31406 with relevant PhD). Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance

Applications are invited from candidates with a PhD (or close to completion) for the position of Research Associate/Fellow in the School of Health Sciences. You will be part of a friendly and experienced team undertaking an evaluation of local support services for bereaved families following pregnancy or baby loss.

You will have an interest in maternity care and appreciate the importance and sensitivity of this topic. You will be prepared to utilise a range of research skills to provide research findings that can inform health and third sector services.

You will be committed to collaborative working with a wide range of stakeholders. You will be engaged in all aspects of the research that will take a realist evaluation approach, and include literature searching, document reviews, interviews with users and providers of bereavement services and members of the maternity team, qualitative analysis and synthesis and reporting.

You will be an active member of the Maternal Health and Wellbeing Research Group in the School of Health Sciences, with opportunities for capacity and career development.

This is a fixed-term post starting as soon as possible until 31 October 2023. Hours of work are part-time (21.75 hours per week).
