Description

The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. at the time of hire, preferably with a specialization in positive, health, or wellness psychology. Franklin’s program in psychology is young, yet popular among students. The successful candidate should be a dynamic leader, who is willing to help Franklin grow the program. They should also be able to offer courses in a variety of areas within psychology, including in their area of expertise and ideally in research methods. Other job expectations include advising pre-major and psychology students and maintaining an active research program. A normal course load at Franklin is six (3 credit or 6 ECTS) courses per academic year, including a course with an Academic Travel component.

Consistent with the mission of the University, applicants must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in both undergraduate teaching and scholarship, have an active research agenda, and contribute to the Academic Travel program, a fundamental part of Franklin’s international, interdisciplinary, intercultural curriculum. Ideally, candidates will be conversant in one of the official languages of Switzerland and have an interest in interdisciplinary teaching. Experience with Swiss/EU funded projects is a plus.
