DescriptionDepartment: School of Electronic Engineering & Computer Science Job profile Overview:About the Role The successful candidate will be a member of the research team on IRIS (Interface Reasoning for Interacting Systems), an EPSRC programme grant with partners including University College London, Imperial College, Amazon, and Facebook. They will work on the Abstraction Theme, helping to develop the mathematical technologies linking work being carried out in the other themes. About You To apply, you should have substantial knowledge of Logic and Programming Semantics and a good understanding of the research processes and summarising findings. Familiarity with categorical techniques would be an advantage. Postdoctoral Research Assistant applicants must also have a PhD in Computer Science or a related topic. We are 11th in the UK for quality of computer science research (REF 2014) and 6th in the UK for quality of electronic engineering research (REF 2014). The post is based at the Mile End Campus in London and is available for an immediate start. It is a full-time post, fixed term appointment for 30 months or until 31 Dec 2023 (whichever is shorter). For an appointment as a Research Assistant the annual starting salary will be in the range of £31,613 - £33,324; for a Postdoctoral Assistant it will be £34,220 to £40,194.
