Chair in Health Innovation/Leadership

We are seeking to appoint an exceptional candidate with the skills to contribute to the on-going development of the Centre for Health Innovation, Leadership and Learning (CHILL) ( ).

The successful candidate will have evidence of research and broader academic leadership, a sustained track record in publishing international quality research in peer-reviewed journals in health and social care, evidence of securing significant research funding and undertaking major research projects in health care, an ability to supervise undergraduate, postgraduate, MBA and PhD candidates and a commitment to educational excellence. A proven track record of developing PhD candidates to completion is required, along with the ability to deliver a variety of courses in the relevant areas to undergraduate and postgraduate students. Our ideal candidate could come from a variety of home disciplines including (but not limited to) sociology, psychology, organisation studies, implementation science or health services research.

Candidates should have the ability to develop their own research area, the flexibility to collaborate with colleagues and the ability to work well in a team. They should also have excellent communication and presentation skills. Effective mentoring of others is a desirable attribute. They will also be required to make an appropriate contribution to administration.
