£36914 to £49553 per annum, depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

Applications are invited for the position of Assistant Professor in Service and/or Retail Operations Management based in the Operations Management and Information Systems (OMIS) Division of Nottingham University Business School. The person appointed is expected to engage in high quality research. They must be able to make effective contributions to service and/or retail operations management teaching at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. Candidates with interests and expertise in the logistical and transportation aspects of service and retail supply chains are of particular interest.

Candidates should have a PhD (or be close to completion) in a relevant area. They should have excellent communication and presentation skills and have the ability to teach at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in relevant areas. The ability to publish in academic research journals in relevant areas is also required. Candidates should have the ability to develop their own research area, the flexibility to collaborate with colleagues and the ability to work well in a team. They will also be required to make an appropriate contribution to administration.

This is a full-time (36.25 hours per week), permanent position.
