We are seeking to appoint a Professor of Accounting or Finance to sit within the Accounting, Finance and Law Division. Applications are welcome from outstanding candidates with research interests in Finance (not limited to any particular field), or Accounting, and a genuine interest in passing on knowledge to students. Candidates must also be able to lead pedagogical thinking and deliver inspiring teaching to students at the undergraduate, postgraduate and post-experience levels.

The AFL Division is well-balanced in teaching and research activities, recognising the duty to achieve excellent outcomes for our students while simultaneously pushing for the highest levels of research output and international recognition. We seek a new colleague with research interests in finance (not limited to any particular field), or accounting, and a genuine interest in passing on knowledge to our students at undergraduate, masters and doctoral levels. Applicants should be collegial, with balanced portfolios of activities, and must have track records of publishing in top-tier international journals – several publications at ABS4 level or higher is essential; publication at ABS4* level is desirable.

In addition to the research role, you would contribute to our range of highly-rated undergraduate and postgraduate offerings. The Division’s teaching portfolio includes MSc programmes in Finance, Accounting and Finance, Finance with Banking, and Finance with Risk, as well as a range of specialist and non-specialist undergraduate units.

The School of Management is a vibrant and productive community and is ranked as one of the UK's leading business schools. Our courses are regularly ranked amongst the best in the UK and worldwide. We are currently 1st for Marketing (The Complete University Guide, 2019), 1st Accounting and Finance (The Guardian, 2019) and 3rd for Business Studies (The Times and Sunday Times, 2019).
