The Department of Accounting and Finance at Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) invites applications for a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) position in Accounting, to start during Summer 2020. While the Department welcomes applications in all areas of accounting, it is particularly keen to further strengthen its expertise in the areas of capital market research in accounting, bank accounting, textual analysis of accounting disclosures, and sustainability accounting.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS : You should have a Ph.D. in Accounting or a related discipline, or should be expected to complete your Ph.D. in the near future. You should be able to pursue your own independent research and develop publications in high quality and top accounting journals and should be able to deliver excellent teaching in both the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. Lecturer (Assistant Professor) positions carry a typical total salary package of up to £60,000 per annum. In exceptional circumstances, it may be possible to offer an additional supplement. Any such supplement would be awarded on the basis of a demonstrable record of exceptional achievement and is entirely at the discretion of the University.
