Assistant Professor (Fixed-term, part-time)

£36261 to £48677 per annum pro-rata depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

Applications are invited for the above post based at the Division of Rehabilitation, Ageing & Wellbeing in the School of Medicine.

The successful candidate will be responsible leading and delivering teaching on the MSc Health Psychology (accredited by the British Psychological Society) as well as making a contribution to the MSc Rehabilitation Psychology. This will include being a module convenor for the 20-credit module ‘Understanding, Predicting and Changing Health Behaviour’ and/or the 20-credit module ‘Chronic Illness’, supervising independent MSc Health Psychology research projects, tutoring, pastoral care, replying to emails, developing course materials and the setting and marking of coursework/examination assessments.

Candidates must have a PhD or equivalent in Psychology and preferably have a Higher Education teaching qualification or equivalent.

This post will be offered on a fixed-term contract for a period of 12-months. Hours of work are part-time at 7.25 hours per week, on a Thursday.
