Associate Professor: £51,630 - £61,618 per annum

Professor: Salary will be within the Professorial range, minimum £61,618 per annum

This role combines the role of Professor or Associate Professor (permanent contract) with the academic administrative role of Associate Dean (Global Engagement) (3 years, subject to renewal). The appointment will be in the Research and Teaching job family. Please refer to the relevant role profile document for further information on both elements of the role. The Associate Dean (Global Engagement) is a member of the School’s senior management team and responsible for the development and delivery the School’s global engagement strategy, which drives the agenda for international student recruitment as well as the development of research and educational partnerships. All candidates should have experience of senior leadership roles, the ability to manage relationship with individuals and organisations in different cultural environments together with excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.

Candidates for the post at Professor level should have a PhD or equivalent in a relevant subject area or equivalent professional/research experience, an international reputation in a specialist subject area and a sustained track record in publishing internationally excellent, peer review journals together with a sustained track record of teaching excellence.

Candidates for the post at Associate Professor level should have a PhD or equivalent in a relevant subject area or equivalent professional/research experience, an established national and growing international reputation in a relevant field and a track record of publications in world leading and/or internationally excellent, peer-reviewed journals together with extensive experience of excellent teaching.
