Gift and Data Operations Manager

If so, we have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, highly motivated, proactive and dynamitic Gift and Data Operations Manager to join the University of Cambridge Development and Alumni Relations Office.

Cambridge University Development and Alumni Relations is the fundraising and alumni engagement arm of the University. It has responsibility for raising major philanthropic gifts from alumni and non-alumni sources, and for encouraging lifelong relationships and building links between the University, its alumni and supporters; Building on the success of the University’s 800th Anniversary Campaign - the first European university campaign to raise 1 billion philanthropically - the current campaign for the University and Colleges of Cambridge, launched in October 2015, focuses on the University’s impact on the world and will work with philanthropists to address major global problems. As of June 2019, the 2 billion campaign ( ?url=www.cam.ac.uk%2FYoursCambridge&module=jobs&id=173174" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">www.cam.ac.uk/YoursCambridge ) has already raised 1.5 billion towards its total.

Gift and Data Operations Manager will play a key role in ensuring that the University is able to offer a first-class giving experience to its donors and that our programmes are supported by accurate data. Effective gift accounting and data administration are vitally important to the meeting of the University’s strategic aims and will require the post holder to support the Head of Gift and Data Management team in delivering and implementing the strategic development of the team to reflect the sophistication of the development function.

The role holder will be responsible for delivering efficient gift and data processing operations, in accordance with regulation and policy, enabling a responsive service to be provided to our donors, on behalf of the whole University community. The identification of business improvement opportunities related to the information, its capture and its use in the system is essential to success.
