Course Administrator, MPhil in Therapeutic Sciences (Part Time, Fixed Term)

We are looking for a proactive, motivated and enthusiastic administrator, to support the newly established MPhil in Therapeutic Sciences. This role will provide administrative support to the Course Director and those associated with the delivery of the course. You will also be the first point of contact with students, both those on the course and those applying for entry.

You will be part of the Cambridge Academy of Therapeutic Sciences, which was established to facilitate the development of new therapeutics and support the education and training of the next generation of world-leading researchers.

Administration duties include, but are not limited to, liaising with teaching staff and students, preparing and editing course materials, managing the course timetable and assessment submission, dealing with applications and admissions and organising events and meetings. You should be confident in working to defined objectives in an independent manner. You will be required to interact effectively with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders, including very senior professionals from both academic and industrial backgrounds.

You will be highly meticulous, accurate, and organised; willing to take on new challenges and responsibilities; quick to adapt to change; highly flexible in approach and able to work under pressure and with a wide and varied workload. The role requires a team-player with excellent organisational skills who is able to communicate in a clear, confident manner to a number of audiences.

This post is part time (0.5 FTE) and there is some flexibility regarding hours of work although some hours every week day is preferred.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 31 Aug 2023 in the first instance. Interviews will be held on 15 October.

Once an offer of employment has been accepted, the successful candidate will be required to undergo a health assessment.
