Assistant Professor in Midwifery

£39609 to £48677 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance

The School of Health Sciences (SHS) at the University of Nottingham, one of the four Schools in the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, provides a range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in the fields of nursing, midwifery, physiotherapy, sport rehabilitation and for the allied health professions.

The School’s mission is ‘to provide excellent healthcare education and undertake outstanding research that inspires our students and staff to transform the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities and make an enlightened and valued contribution to society’.

The School is seeking to appoint an Assistant Professor in Midwifery to contribute to all teaching related activities on undergraduate and postgraduate midwifery programmes. The post is available as a Research and Teaching (R&T) or a Teaching & Learning (T&L) position. The candidate must have significant teaching experience in midwifery and hold a Masters Degree in a relevant subject, have current midwifery registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and accredited teacher status with the NMC. The post will be based in Nottingham but you will be expected to travel to clinical placement areas as appropriate.

This full time role is offered on a permanent contract and job share arrangements may be considered.
