New data reveals how gentrification is reshaping who can afford to live on London

Gentrifying neighbourhoods across London are undergoing rapid change, with rising numbers of newcomers arriving from less deprived areas and from further afield than ever before, according to new research from the Geographic Data Service led by a UCL researcher.

Global Multidimensional Poverty Index report reveals 80% of the world’s poor exposed to climate hazards

A  new report  from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and  Oxford Poverty and Human Initiative (OPHI)  at the University of Oxford has demonstrated that nearly 8 in 10 people living in multidimensional poverty - 887 million out of 1.1 billion globally - are also directly exposed to climate hazards such as extreme heat, flooding, drought, or air pollution.
